Forgotten Places

I wrote a poem about forgotten places or something, here’s that:


Up in the attic or under your bed
A place unexplored and somewhat ignored
Perhaps lying deep in the darkness is a toy; once adored
Half finished ideas and that thing that you lost 10 years ago
The memories of bubble beards and hidden treasure
The subtle smell of soot, there’s something on my foot!
Maybe once that cardboard box was a rocket that took you into space,
What a very nice place.
The torchlight isn’t too bright and it’s starting to give me quite a fright
There’s something strange underneath this mat, oh my goodness it’s a rat!
I think I might decide to scram
And go downstairs and eat some ham
(or maybe not because I’m a vegetarian…)

The Day Nicolas Cage Took Over the Universe

One day, one unusual day, Nicolas Cage took over the universe. It all started somewhere off in space, first it was the aliens from other galaxies then it came closer and closer. Every person’s face it touched instantaneously morphed into that of Nicolas Cage’s. It hit the creatures living on the rings of Saturn and went on to infect the Martians then eventually even Earth itself. As you can imagine, it was quite an interesting Tuesday...
